Smartphone With Best Signal Strength
Smartphones have become an essential part of our lives, and we rely on them for everything from staying connected with our loved ones to getting work done. Great display, powerful chip, high data speed; all these nice things are pretty useless if the antenna quality suck and it does suck on many popular phones. But Sometimes you could have the best phone in terms of reception but your carrier doesn’t have good service in your area. And it can be the reason for you are not getting good reception. So make sure to check out phone coverage maps to make sure your carrier does have service in your area.
On the other hand, Some phones have better antennas than others and are able to pick up a stronger signal in areas where other phones have trouble. However, knowing which phones have the best signal strength can be difficult. But stop crying. I have done all the work for you. Check out the list I have created for you.
Motorola One Vision
Price Level: 249$
Signal Strenght: 9/10
Sar-value: 0,33 W/kg
Overall Score: 79/100
Motorola One Vision combines great quality on all the essential features of a phone with a pretty sensational price, and it has some pretty impressive antenna technology. It’s able to pick up signals in places where other phones can’t, which is a big help if you’re trying to stay connected in a rural or remote area.
Motorola One Vision comes with a full HD that looks nice on the 6.3-inch big screen. A great thing about the screen, there’s no notch, however, there’s a small hole in the upper left corner for the selfie camera. The screen format is 21:9, so it’s a more narrow phone than normal, which actually makes it easier to handle with one hand.
The camera is way better than the price indicates, landscape, macro, and portrait are all great. It struggles a bit to take great pictures in dark situations but usually, it takes great pictures all the time. And it can actually, sometimes, match the best pros in darkness.
The SAR-value on One Vision indicates great antenna quality which also has a positive effect on battery life and performance. The user interface is almost pure Android, as it’s an Android one phone, which means fast navigation speed. Motorola One Vision is one of the best smartphone with best antenna for the price right now and it’s great value for money.
Huawei P30
Price Level: 498$
Signal Strenght: 9/10
Sar-value: 0,33 W/kg
Overall Score: 88/100
The Huawei P30 is equipped with antennas that are designed to pick up the weakest signal. In fact, Huawei’s P30 has been shown to outperform other phones in signal strength tests. Not only does this mean that you’re less likely to drop calls, but it also means that you’ll have a better connection in areas where other phones struggle. The P30 is also one of the last Huawei flagship devices that supports google services along with its big brother the p30 pro.
The slim, compact, and light device feels good to hold you will not be bothered using it even for long hours. The display is bright and punchy colors are vibrant thanks to its AMOLED display. It supports face unlock features and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint is also fast and accurate there is like one-second delay in unlocking the device. This device has a headphone jack which is the basic but one of the most important features of a smartphone.
P30 is known as a camera phone and the camera output never disappoints. The main camera is co-engineered by Leica and also powered by AI technology. The camera of this device produces great photos, almost close to digital cameras. There are a lot of modes to choose from but using the auto setting performs really well. The images captured by this device are vibrant and detailed.
When it comes to performance this device manages to perform well in daily tasks with no lagging issues and no freezing navigation. The gaming performance is solid regardless of the settings. This is a two-year-old device but it is still one of the fastest devices compared to other flagship smartphones in the market today. When it comes to cell phones, one of the most important features is the antenna. If you’re looking for a phone that fits your needs and keeps you connected even in tough conditions, the Huawei P30 is what you need.
Samsung Galaxy A50
Price Level: 130$
Signal Strenght: 10/10
Sar-value: 0,27 W/kg
Overall Score: 77/100
The new Galaxy A series is a great line of low, mid, and also high-end phones, with, in most cases, great price tags. The most interesting phone from the series is the A50. Which is a great comeback for Samsung in the low and mid-end segments. The perhaps most amazing things about the A50 are the display and antenna. Cheap phones like the Samsung galaxy A50 don’t normally have such a great display (6.4 inches Super AMOLED with full HD+ resolution) and antenna. Unlike other phones, which rely on a single antenna, the Galaxy A50 uses a multiple-antenna system that is designed to pick up even the weakest signals.
The feature that no one comments on is the antenna quality. It’s many times better than an iPhone and other expensive phones, and also way better than most phones from Xiaomi and Oppo for example. The sound value for Samsung Galaxy A50 is 0.27. The sound value for a phone like Oppo F11 is 1.32. That does not only have a negative impact on antenna quality, but it also have a negative impact on performance and battery life when the sound value is high and the antenna quality is poor.
The A50 can’t compete with the best camera phones on the market. Most expensive phones have great cameras and there is a difference compared to phones with a price level as A50. But, it is still a rather fine camera we find on the phone. A triple camera with 25 times eight times five megapixels, an aperture of 1.7, and also wide-angle and face detection auto-focus. It’s pretty nice and quite uncommon to find also wide-angle on a phone like this.
Samsung Galaxy A50 is a pretty fine phone for gaming thanks to the big and very nice display, and it handles most games without any fuss, also graphically challenging games. The sound is average, but in most cases, you play without sound, or with a headset. The battery is impressive, with 4,000 milliamp-hours.
The 4,000mAh battery easily lasts two days. There’s a 15-watt charger in the box. I have seen more powerful chargers for phones at this price level, but it’s an okay capacity. It takes about one hour and 25 minutes to charge the phone from zero to 100%. A low price, combined with the great display, antenna quality, and battery life, plus fine performance on camera, user-friendliness, and gaming, makes this one of the very best phones if you’re looking for a phone that is cheap and good then it is the phone you are looking for.
Sony Xperia XZ3
Price Level: 369$
Signal Strenght: 10/10
Sar-value: 0,44 W/kg
Overall Score: 81/100
Sony has always delivered when it comes to quality but they have been slow to adopt the popular and nice looking. Now the Sony Xperia XZ3 is one of those phones that is most cool, good looking, and has advanced antennas, the Xperia XZ3 is able to pick up signal in a rural area with spotty cell coverage or an urban area with a lot of buildings and obstacles. It also performs great on all of the functions.
Sony Xperia XZ3 is nicely built-in glass on the front and back, Gorilla Glass Five with an aluminum frame to keep it all together. On top of the nice design, it’s also water and dust-proof. The screen is simply amazing, maybe the best screen on a phone ever, better than the screens on iPhone 10 XS Max, and Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The colors, the sharpness, the brightness, and the details, are all outstanding.
Sony is also known for its camera abilities. Surprisingly, There’s no dual camera on the back of the phone, just a single camera. However, it uses software to take photos with the bokeh effect even better than most dual-camera phones. Photos in general are top-class on this phone in all kinds of environments. When it comes to video, it can record videos in 4K. That’s normal for all high-end phones. What’s not normal is that you can record super slow motion video with 960 frames per second in full HD 1080 pixels. Only this and a couple of other Sony phones can do that. Other phones can only handle super slow motion in HD 720 pixels.
The user interface in the phone is fairly simple, built with only a few of Sony’s own stuff and it’s a very fast and easily used user interface. So if you’re looking for a phone that will give you the best signal possible. The Xperia XZ3 is the smartphone with best antenna.
Samsung Galaxy S9+
Price Level: 151$
Signal Strenght: 10/10
Sar-value: 0,27 W/kg
Overall Score: 85/100
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ is equipped with an array of advanced antennas that are designed to deliver reliable signal reception in a variety of circumstances. While other phones rely on a single antenna for both transmitting and receiving signals, the Galaxy S9+ uses multiple antennas to optimize signal strength and minimize dropped calls and data interruptions. In addition, the Galaxy S9+ features advanced signal-processing technology that helps to boost signal strength in areas where reception is typically poor.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2 inch 1440p Super AMOLED display made from corning gorilla glass 5. It is IP68 verified water and dust-resistant and can last up to 30 minutes when submerged like 1.5 meters in water. Dual or single sim options are available for nano sim cards and also for micro sd cards. We get two camera setups at the back a 12-megapixel wide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera for detailed close-up photos. It also has a heartbeat sensor and a more convenient position for the fingerprint scanner at the front. You get the 8-megapixel wide selfie camera 2-megapixel iris camera led indicator and the main sensor just at the top of the device. If you’re looking for a phone that will give you a better signal, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is the smartphone with best antenna.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
Price Level: 329$
Signal Strenght: 10/10
Sar-value: 0,50 W/kg
Overall Score: 90/100
The Samsung s20 FE is one of the great devices that can be considered as value for our money. It’s been almost two years since this device was introduced in the market. But is still one of the best options to be considered even today. It is not the most powerful chipset out there but this can still deliver a top-notch performance. And there is a plus point that the S20 FE’s modem is designed to be more efficient. Which also helps to improve signal reception.
This device has a super AMOLED screen with a 120-hertz screen refresh rate. The viewing experience is awesome and navigation and scrolling are very fast and smooth. This device has an ip68 rating means it is protected from dust and water splashes. It also has an in-display fingerprint and dual stereo speaker which is loud and clear. This device has micro sd card storage which is very rare for newer devices these days.
The s20 FE is also paired with great and useful cameras. The main camera has a very good dynamic range. The photos taken by this device are fantastic even the wide-angle and telephoto lens is very useful. It supports video recording up to 4k and the outputs are quite great for both front and back cameras.
This device has a 4 500 milliampere battery capacity which is good enough to last for a day. The only issue there is that it only supports up to 25 watts of charging. Overall This device is really a great choice. It has a flagship, powerful antennas, and super speedy performance with great features and awesome cameras.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
Price Level: 319$
Signal Strenght: 10/10
Sar-value: 0,187 W/kg
Overall Score: 96/100
Samsung’s Note series has always given us the true flagships from the Korean phone company. They are stuffed with the newest and most powerful hardware and software, and are, in general, amazing phones. The 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2K resolution HDR10+ display, with Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back, is simply amazing. The display on the Note 10+ is simply the best I’ve ever seen until the next Samsung S23 comes around.
One of most the useful things about Note 10+ is the best antenna quality on any higher phone I have ever tested. The SAR-value is more than five times lower than on iPhone and much lower than on any other direct competitor on the market. The improved antenna performance is due to the use of adaptive array technology. Which allows the phone to dynamically adjust its antenna patterns to optimize reception.
Note 10+ has an amazing camera setup, with three cameras on the back plus a time-of-flight camera for bulky effects, both for pictures and videos. There’s also a super-steady function for videos that is really effective. The Note 10+ battery production is confident enough to put a 4300-milliamp-hour battery in the phone. The battery easily lasts for two days. And I can charge the battery for one full-day usage in just 30 minutes.
Another feature is that you can now zoom and swipe on the phone display with the Pen in the air. But I cannot always get that to work. There is no headphone jack on the phone. Only USB-C, but there is an AKG headset in the box with this connection. I did wish for more optical zoom than just the 2x optical zoom we find in the phone. The fingerprint scanner could be quicker. The placement of the power button on the left side is annoying, at least in the beginning. Overall the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is one of the most powerful feature-rich smartphone with best antenna on the market.
Conclusion
Poor antenna quality means a poor connection to the mobile network and poor mobile coverage when using your phone, both in rural areas with long distances between base stations, but also, in cities with concrete buildings and eco-friendly windows all over the place. Poor antenna quality also means the phone has to use more power to stay connected to the mobile network. Using more power means using more battery and using more battery means that your phone will stop working at a higher speed.
Scientific studies have made clear that there’s a clear coherence between SAR value slash mobile emission and antenna quality. If you want a reliable connection, regardless of where you are, you need to invest in a device that has less sar value. You can use this information to choose the best device for your needs, whether you have AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, or another type of plan.
If you don’t wanna buy a new device then you might want to consider getting a cell phone signal booster these can help amplify your signal and help you connect to your carrier’s cell towers in your area. It can also be difficult to find the best signal booster, but don’t worry here is the best signal booster that might help you to get the higher signal in rural areas.
Bolton Long-Range Cellular Antenna

This antenna has a range of up to 10 miles, making it ideal for rural areas or for providing a backup in case of a power outage. The antenna is also easy to install and comes with a one-year warranty. In terms of performance, the Bolton Long-Range Cellular Antenna lives up to its hype. In our tests, we were able to get a strong signal from up to 10 miles away. We also found that the antenna was resistant to interference from nearby cell towers. Overall, the Bolton Long-Range Cellular Antenna is an excellent choice for anyone in need of a reliable long-range antenna.

That said, there are some phones that tend to have better signal strength than others. One factor that can affect signal strength is the phone’s Sar value.
